Pass: Look before you sleep

First, Locate where your fire pit will be
Making sure that you have a good spot for a fire pit is important. This will be the center of your campsite. Your tents should be close by with their doors facing in. This way everybody will be able to find their tents in the dark.

Sweep away the ground first
You would want to make sure to remove any glass, rocks, sticks, or any sharp objects. Remember, you will be sleeping on that spot and you want to make it soft and smooth. This is especially important if you have little kids running around.

Look for a spot that can fit everybody
Keeping your tents in one general location will help with clean up and keeping everybody safe. Nosy wildlife is less likely to disturb a group of tents, and a group of people can run off a bear if it gets too close to camp. Remember the rule, “Safety in numbers”
